the light i've found
doubt makes
a poor god
but I’m addicted
to questioning
all the light I’ve found
so maybe I’ll start
questioning the dark, too—
every shadow-stuck narrative
until all that light breaks through
I can’t deny how
my story-stained heart
keeps resurrecting
in spite of me,
how when I watch the forest heal itself
I witness a Life older than death
how when flowers bloom
despite the drought
they profess a Love larger than fear
oh haunted heart,
let this hallowing
hollow you of your pain
and make space for you
to let the love in
and lighten up
all that was heavy
hounding
your steps
are no longer
shackled
there is light
to be found here,
better things to believe
than your doubts

So good, and so true, Sarah.
That is so beautiful.
